Cards Finish Round One at NCAA Tallahassee Regional in 11th Place

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – After getting off to a slow start, the University of Louisville men's golf team rallied into a tie for 11th place after the first round of the NCAA Tallahassee Regional at the Seminole Legacy Golf Club in Tallahassee, Fla., on Monday.
Sitting near the bottom of the standings for most of the round, the Cardinals moved back into contention to advance to the NCAA Championships by finishing at 6-over-par after the first 18 holes. Second round action begins on Tuesday morning at 8 a.m.
Host Florida State appears to be running away from the field at 14-under-par, while Notre Dame is second at 7-under-par. Ole Miss is third at 6-under-par and Augusta and New Mexico are tied for fourth. The top five teams in the regional will advance.
Southern California is in 10th place, while Louisville is tied for 11th with San Diego State.
Easton Johnson led the Cardinals at 1-under-par. He is tied for 16th place, with his round of three birdies and two bogeys.
Sebastian Moss, the team's top overall player, responded after a slow start to move into 25th place at even-par. The senior had three birdies but was victimized by a triple bogey on No. 11
Cooper Claycomb is tied for 52nd at 3-over-par, while Patrick Keeling and Brady Smith are tied for 58th place at 4-over-par.
