Cards Wrap Up the Season at Home with Three Matches

Louisville will face No. 44 Middle Tennessee, No. 60 Notre Dame and Dayton
LOUISVILLE, KY. - The University of Louisville men's tennis team will close out the regular season with a trio of matches at the Bass-Rudd Tennis Center.Â
The Cards will play No. 44 Middle Tennessee Thursday at 3pm and then host a Saturday doubleheader with a noon match against ACC-opponent No. 60 Notre Dame and Dayton at 5 pm.ÂSenior Natan Rodrigues will be honored during Saturday's noon match against Notre Dame with festivities beginning prior to the match. Doors will open an hour before the match begins.Â
Louisville (9-17, 1-11 ACC) dropped both of its matches over the weekend, falling 4-0 to No. 33 Miami and 4-2 to No. 19 Florida State.Â
Junior Will Mayew continues to lead the way in singles, coming in at No. 85 in the latest ITA poll with a 13-5 record when playing solo.Â
The duo of Hamza El Amine and Natan Rodrigues were placed at No. 90 in the recent doubles poll. This comes after the tandem claimed the clinching court in doubles competition against Florida State on Saturday.Â

Scouting the Blue Raiders:Â Middle Tennessee remained at No. 44 in the latest ITA teams poll with its duo of Ondrej Horak and Karim Al-Amin coming in at No. 51 in the doubles poll. The Blue Raiders split their matches last weekend, falling 5-2 to No. 28 UCF and sweeping Eastern Illinois University 7-0.Â
Cards vs. No. 60 Notre Dame (13-13, 1-11 ACC)
Series Record:Â Notre Dame leads the all-time series 17-10
Last Meeting:Â April 10, 2024 | The Fighting Irish defeated the Cards 4-0
Scouting the Fighting Irish:Â Notre Dame dropped to No. 60 in Tuesday's ITA poll. Junior Sebastian Dominko is ranked No. 18 in the latest singles poll and is paired with Chase Thompson as ITA's No. 22 pair. The Fighting Irish also traveled to Florida over the weekend, dropping both matches against No. 19 Florida State and No. 33 Miami.Â

Series Record:Â Louisville leads the all-time series 25-3
Last Meeting:Â January 18, 2022 | The Cards defeated the Flyers 6-1
Scouting the Flyers:Â Dayton is currently on an eighteen-match winning streak with a 7-0 win over St. Louis and a 4-1 victory over Davidson last weekend. The Flyers' only two losses of the season came against No. 52 Purdue and Ball State.Â
