The University of Louisville lacrosse team will hit the road to face No. 9 Virginia in an Atlantic Coast Conference matchup Saturday at 12 p.m.

OPENING DRAW
• Saturday's contest will mark Louisville's fourth top-15 opponent in the last six games.
• Louisville enters the game with a 6-7 record following a 12-10 win over Liberty Tuesday at UofL Lacrosse Stadium.
• Sophomore Reese Whiteman paces the team with a career-high 21 goals and 25 points.
• Junior Negai Nakazawa follows with 19 points and stands second on the team with seven assists.
• Lauren Figas is also in the midst of a career-best season, standing second on the team with 16 goals. She has scored at least one goal in each of Louisville's last four games.
• Sophomore Catherine Kangas leads the team with 21 ground balls and 19 caused turnovers
• Graduate senior Ashley Osborne stands second on the team with 20 ground balls and has accumulated 101 in her career, becoming the eighth player in program history with 100 or more ground balls.
• Freshman Olivia Scroggie paces the team with 51 draw controls including a career-high eight in the 19-6 win at Xavier.
• J Pleck (6-7) has posted 113 saves - including a career-high 16 against Vanderbilt while logging 667:52 minutes in goal this season. She stands third in the ACC and seventh in the nation in saves. Pleck ranks 10th on Louisville's single season list, needing four more to move into a tie for ninth.
• Pleck has collected 233 saves in her career, becoming the seventh player in program history to do so.
• Last season, Louisville posted an 8-11 record after registering the program's first-ever ACC tournament win, beating Virginia Tech 13-11 in the first round. Louisville also earned a 13-12 win over No. 20 Clemson in the 2024 regular season.

2024 Recap: Maggie McMahon recorded her first multiple-goal game but the University of Louisville women's lacrosse team (6-8, 2-4 ACC) fell short to No. 11 Virginia (11-3, 3-4 ACC) by a 13-8 margin on senior day.
• McMahon and Kokoro Nakazawa led the Cardinals with two goals apiece. Sara Addeche collected 11 saves.
• Virginia's Mackenzie Hoeg led all scorers with four goals and Morgan Schwab led with three assists and a goal of her own. Mel Josephson had 10 stops in goal for the Cavaliers.
Scouting the Cavaliers: No. 9 Virginia enters Saturday's contest with an 8-4 overall record following a 14-5 win at Richmond. The Cavaliers carry a 3-3 mark in ACC play with wins over California, Duke and Pitt and losses to Boston College, Duke and most recently, No. 8 Syracuse.
