Cards Set to Host Jim Freeman/Clark Wood Invitational

The only home meet for Louisville during the 2025 outdoor season will begin on Friday morning at 9:00 a.m. ET.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Louisville track & field teams will compete in their only home meet of the 2025 outdoor campaign at the Jim Freeman/Clark Wood Invitational. The meet will take place from Apr. 25-27 at Owsley B. Frazier Cardinal Park.
The first of three days of competition will begin on Friday morning at 9:00 a.m. ET with the women's hammer throw, while the day's track events will get underway at 3:00 p.m. ET with the women's 800m. The full schedule of the weekend's events can be found here.
Admission to the meet will cost $10 per person for each of the three days of competition.
Entering the final weekend of April, the Cardinals boast 18 marks that currently rank among the top 50 in the nation, led by a pair of marks from Geoffrey Kirwa in the men's 3000m steeplechase and Jayden Ulrich in the women's discus throw that lead the NCAA thus far this season and stand second in collegiate history.
The Louisville women come into the meet ranked 17th nationally in the USTFCCCA National TFRI, having been ranked as high as 11th on April 8, which stands as the highest ranking for the women's squad in program history.
