Cardinals Wrap Up Regular Season at Duke Twilight

DURHAM, N.C. – The University of Louisville track & field teams wrapped up their final competition of the regular season on Sunday evening, as a pair of Cardinals contested the 5000m at the Duke Twilight.
Emma McGill began the evening with a third-place finish in the women's 5000m, cruising to a new personal-best time of 15:55.56 to move up to fourth in the Louisville record books.
In the men's 5000m, Leo Brewer set a personal record of his own after crossing the line in 13:45.63 to place fourth while improving on his No. 5 mark in program history.
The Cardinals will now turn their attention to the postseason, which will begin in two weeks when the ACC Outdoor Track & Field Championships come to Louisville. The conference championship meet will be staged over three days from May 14-16 at Owsley B. Frazier Cardinal Park.
