
Cardinals Finish in Eighth Place at ACC Championship

Griffiths and Exposito both finished tied for 25th overall
GREENSBORO, N.C. — The Louisville women's golf team concluded its time at the 2025 ACC Championship as it finished eighth overall in the stroke play competition at the Sedgefield Country Club in Greensboro. The Cardinals shot 15-over 303 in the final round on Thursday and finished stroke play at 28-over-par 892.
A senior and a freshman led the way for the Cardinals as Carmen Griffiths and Veronika Exposito finished tied for 25th overall at 5-over-par 221. Exposito fired a 2-over-par 74 in the final round while Griffiths was 3-over-par 75. The tied for 25th finish is the highest finish at the ACC Championship for Griffiths over her four seasons.
Thienna Huynh tied for the team-low round on Thursday with a 2-over-par 74 in the final round. She finished the tournament at 10-over-par 226 and tied for 43rd overall.
One stroke behind Huynh was Bailey Burkett who tied for 47th overall at 11-over-par 227 for the championship. Burkett was 8-over-par 80 in the final round on Thursday.
Beatriz Barrios rounded out the team play this week at 63rd overall with a 20-over-par 236. She was also 8-over-par 80 in the final round on Thursday.
The Cardinals will now turn their attention to the selection show to see if they have been picked for the 2025 NCAA Tournament. It will begin on May 9-11 and hosted on campus sites across the country. The NCAA Championship will be held May 16-21 at the Omni La Costa Resort in California.
