
Yeast Resets 200m Program Record to Open Outdoor Campaign

The senior clocked a time of 23.41 at the USF Alumni Invitational in her first outdoor action since the 2023 season.
TAMPA, Fla. – The University of Louisville track & field teams officially began the 2025 outdoor season on Friday, wrapping up the first day of competition at the USF Alumni Invitational.
In her first action on the outdoor oval in nearly two years, Kiyah Yeast set a new program record in the women's 200m with a time of 23.41 to earn fifth place. The time reset the previous program record of 23.48 that was set by Yeast at the 2023 ACC Outdoor Championships.
The senior will double back tomorrow in the women's 100m, looking to continue her hot streak after closing her indoor season with a pair of Second Team All-ACC honors in the women's 60m and 200m.
Noah Koch began his first outdoor season in a Louisville uniform after redshirting the 2024 outdoor campaign, placing eighth in the men's shot put with a mark of 17.32m (56-10) that moves him into the top 10 in program history.
In the women's hammer throw, Demaria King set a new personal-best with a toss of 51.01m (167-4) to close out the day for the Cardinals.
Field events will resume tomorrow morning at 11:00 a.m. ET with the men's discus throw, while the women's 4x100m relay will begin the day's track events at 12:30 p.m. ET.
