LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Louisville track & field teams are set to begin the 2025 outdoor season at the USF Alumni Invitational set to take place this weekend from Mar. 21-22.
After an indoor season where the Louisville women placed third at the ACC Indoor Championships to match their best finish at the meet in program history and the men placed 11th, the Cardinals will send a group of roughly 20 sprinters and throwers down to Tampa to get the outdoor campaign started.
Competition will begin tomorrow morning at 10:00 a.m. ET with the men's javelin throw while the track events will get underway for the Cards at 6:20 p.m. ET with the women's 200m. Live results for the duration of the two-day event can be found here.
Jayden Ulrich will headline the Louisville competitors, as the senior will make her first appearance in the discus ring since representing the United States at the 2024 Paris Olympics in August. Additionally, Jade Whitfield, a 2023 First Team All-American in the discus while competing for Oregon State, will compete in the event for the first time in a Louisville uniform.
After redshirting last outdoor season, Kiyah Yeast will return to the outdoor oval for the first time since 2023, following an indoor campaign where she finished fourth in the ACC in both the 60m and 200m to earn Second Team All-ACC distinction.
