February 28, 2025 | Track & Field
The three-day event will take place at the Norton Healthcare Sports & Learning Center in Louisville from Saturday, March 1 to Monday, March 3.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Louisville track & field teams begin their postseason this weekend at the ACC Indoor Championships, which will take place from Saturday, March 1 to Monday, March 3 at the Norton Healthcare Sports & Learning Center on the West End of Louisville.
The weekend will mark the second time in three years that the Cards will host the ACC Indoor Championships, having hosted the event during the 2023 season.
Admission for all spectators will be free, while parking will be provided in a surface lot provided by the facility for $5 per car per day. Portions of the meet from each of the three days of competition will be streamed live on ACCNX. The streaming schedule with links can be found below, while live results for the weekend's events can be found here.
The top-three finishers in each individual event and the top relay team will earn First Team All-ACC distinction, while the athletes who finish fourth through sixth in each individual event and the second and third place relay teams will be honored as Second Team All-ACC. Season awards within the conference will be determined by a coach's vote following the completion of the NCAA Indoor Championships and will be announced in late March.
Entering the weekend, the Louisville women are ranked fifth in the latest installment of the USTFCCCA's ACC Rating Index, while the men are ranked ninth. The Cardinals return four podium finishers from last season's conference championship meet including Jayden Ulrich, who will look to defend her conference title in the women's shot put while boasting a seed mark of 18.40m (60-4.5), the top toss in the ACC thus far this season.
Along with Ulrich's ACC-leading shot put mark, KJ Byrd (men's heptathlon), Natalie Lark (women's pole vault), Synclair Savage (women's long jump), and Brion Stephens (men's high jump) all expect to compete for the conference crowns in their respective events, with each currently holding season-best marks that rank among the top-three in the ACC during the 2024-25 indoor season.
The Cards will look to improve on their team placements from a year ago at the ACC Indoor Championships in Boston, Mass., where the Louisville men placed seventh overall while the women's squad finished ninth in the team standings in director of track & field and cross country Joe Franklin's first season at the helm of the program
