Kalyssa Blackshear Named ACC Freshman of the Week

LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- University of Louisville opposite Kalyssa Blackshear has been voted the Atlantic Coast Conference Freshman of the Week for matches played October 6-12.
Blackshear, the Lomita, Calif. native, recorded 30 kills, an average of 4.29 kills per set in the two matches last week with Virginia Tech and Virginia. She hit .448 on the week with a career-high 20 kills against Virginia while totalling six blocks on the week.Â
