Cardinals Wrap Up Road Trip at Crossroads of America Invitational

Jayden Ulrich won the women’s shot put while Natalie Lark, Brion Stephens and Kiyah Yeast also earned podium finishes.
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The University of Louisville track & field teams concluded action at the Crossroads of America Invitational on Saturday, combining for four top-three individual finishes on the second and final day of competition.
Jayden Ulrich claimed the top spot in the women's shot put, recording a heave of 17.76m (58-3.25) for her first event victory of the season.
The Cards saw a trio of athletes post personal-best marks in the women's pole vault, led by Natalie Lark's third-place finish with a clearance of 4.34m (14-2.75) to give her sole possession of third in program history. Lydia Stuart and Iliana Triantafyllou both cleared a final bar of 4.09m (13-5), tying the pair for ninth in the Louisville record books.
Brion Stephens made his season debut in the men's high jump, finishing as the runner-up with a bar of 2.12m (6-11.5) to open his junior campaign.
After placing fifth in the women's 200m on Friday evening, Kiyah Yeast rounded out the top three in the women's 60m, blazing to a time of 7.53 in the event.
The Cardinals will return to Louisville next weekend as the host school for the PNC Lenny Lyles Invitational, which will take place at the Norton Healthcare Sports & Learning Center on Friday, January 31 and Saturday, February 1.
