Cardinals Set to Host PNC Lenny Lyles Invitational
January 30, 2025 | Track & Field
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Louisville track & field teams will play host for the first time this season at the PNC Lenny Lyles Invitational on Friday, January 31 and Saturday, February 1 at the Norton Healthcare Sports & Learning Center.
The two-day event holds a bronze-level classification on the 2025 World Athletics Indoor Tour, acting as one of five meets staged in the United States and one of two meets hosted by a university. The Tour, founded in 2016, was created as a series of indoor track & field meets that was designed to raise the profile of indoor track & field and allow for high-level competition outside of World Championship events.
Friday's events will begin at 10:00 a.m. ET with the heptathlon 60m opening the day on the track and the men's long jump kicking things off in the field. Saturday's slate will also start at 10:00 a.m. ET with the heptathlon 60m hurdles kicking off the second and final day on the track.
Both days on the track will conclude with elite sections of events, with the women's elite long jump closing the day on Friday, and the men's elite high jump being the final event on Saturday.
Admisstion to the event will be $10 per person per day, with an additional $5 fee for parking in surface lots provided by the facility.
The meet will feature over 30 other schools, nine of which come from the Power Four level. Miami (Fla.) and Florida State will join the Cardinals in representing the ACC, Cincinnati will act as the lone representative of the Big 12, and the Big Ten will be represented by athletes from Michigan, Michigan State, Ohio State, Purdue, and Wisconsin.
