Soledad Jean tied for the win in the women’s high jump with a final clearance of 1.77m (5-9.75).
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The University of Louisville track & field teams wrapped up the first day of competition at the Crossroads of America Invitational on Friday evening in their first road action of the new year.
Soledad Jean led the charge for the Cardinals, claiming her second consecutive event victory to begin her senior season by tying for first in the women's high jump with a final clearance of 1.77m (5-9.75).
The Cards also got a solid showing in the men's weight throw from Noah Koch, who eclipsed the 20-meter mark for the second straight meet with a toss of 20.03m (65-8.75) to earn a fourth-place finish.
Cade DeWitt set a new season-best in the men's pole vault, tying for fifth with a mark of 5.04m (16-6.5).
On the track, Kiyah Yeast rounded out the top five in the women's 200m with a time of 23.81 while also qualifying for tomorrow's 60m finals after clocking 7.52, which stands as the second-fastest time in the preliminary round.
The Cardinals will return to action tomorrow morning for the second and final day of competition at the Crossroads of America Invitational. Both the track events and field events will begin at 11:00 a.m. ET.
