
Cross Country Schedule Announced for 2024 Season

The Cards have a total of six meets on the schedule for Joe Franklin’s second season at the head of the program.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – University of Louisville director of track & field and cross country Joe Franklin has announced the cross country schedule for the 2024 campaign.
The men's and women's teams will share the same schedule with six meets on the ledger for Franklin's second season at the helm of the program.
The Cardinals will begin the year splitting between a pair of meets on the first weekend of October. Half of the squad will head to Chicago, Ill. for the Sean Earl Lakefront Invitational on Oct. 4, while the other half will remain in the Derby City for the Live in Lou Classic on Oct. 5 at E.P. Tom Sawyer Park.
After a two-week break from competition, the teams will compete at the Wisconsin Pre-Nationals that will take place on Oct. 19 in Madison, Wis., giving them a preview of the Thomas Zimmer Championship Cross Country Course, which will be the site of the NCAA Championships in late November.
The postseason will begin on Nov. 1 with the ACC Cross Country Championships, which will be contested at WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary, N.C.
The Cards will then travel to Rock Hill, S.C. for the NCAA Southeast Regional on Nov. 15, which will serve as the qualifying meet for the NCAA Cross Country Championships.
The top-two teams and top-10 individuals on non-advancing teams at the regional will advance to the national meet, which will be hosted in Madison, Wis. on Nov. 23.
