LOUISVILLE, Ky. – University of Louisville softball coach Holly Aprile has announced that Camryn Lookadoo will continue her collegiate career with the Cardinals after one season at the University of Kentucky.
Â
Lookadoo, a rising sophomore from Georgetown, Ky., helped the Wildcats to a 31-24 overall record and an NCAA regional appearance during her rookie campaign.
Â
The infielder built a solid resume during her high school and travel ball years. In 2023, she was ranked as high as No. 78 last year by Extra Innings softball and was on the PGF All-American Futures Watch List in 2021. While playing for Great Crossing High School, earned all-region honors while helping the WarHawks capture the regional title and advance to the state tournament in 2023. That season, she posted a .471 batting average with only two strikeouts on the year as the lead-off hitter and was second in stolen bases.
Â
Lookadoo also helped Great Crossing to the 2021 and 2022 District titles, earning District MVP Award in 2021. She also played on Scott County's 2018 state championship team as a seventh grader.
Â
In addition to her high school success, Lookadoo also helped the Birmingham Thunderbolts to a PGF championship in 2022 and was named to the PGF All-American Futures Watch List in 2021.
