
Frizell, Hess Earn All-ACC Honors

Seniors Riley Frizell and Daisy Hess represent Louisville on the All-ACC Softball third team
GREENSBORO, N.C. – The University of Louisville's Riley Frizell and Daisy Hess were named to the All-Atlantic Coast Conference Softball third team in a vote by the league's head coaches.Â

Frizell earns the honor after leading the Cardinals with a .337 batting average, 49 RBIs and a .651 slugging percentage. Additionally, her team-best 13 home runs are tied for eighth on Louisville's all-time single season list. The senior from Willoughby, Ohio and transfer from Missouri started every game primarily at first base this season, reaching safely via a hit or walk in 45 of Louisville's 52 contests.

Hess takes home her second straight all-ACC nod. The Acworth, Ga., native and fifth-year senior stepped into a starting role at shortstop after transferring to Louisville prior to the 2023 campaign. This year, she led the team with 37 runs, 12 doubles and a .456 on-base percentage. Her 34 walks, stand fifth on Louisville's single-season list. In her final collegiate campaign, she registered a team-best 21-game on-base streak, reaching safely in all but four of her 49 games played.
