Five Named to CSC Academic All-District

LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Five members of the University of Louisville Men's and Women's Swimming & Diving teams were named to the College Sports Communicators' Academic All-District team.

Gabi Albiero, Julia Dennis, Kim Herkle were named to the All-District team for the women and Gustavo Saldo and Jackson Millard for the men.

Albiero is a marketing major with a 3.944 gpa, Dennis is an exercise science major with a 3.858 gpa and Herkle is a neuroscience major with a 3.894 gpa. Saldo is a psychology major with a 3.771 gpa and Millard is an economics major with a 3.502 gpa. All five swimmers competed in both the ACC and NCAA Championships.

To be considered for the Academic All-District teams, student-athletes must have a 3.50 cumulative GPA, competed in at least 50 percent of the team's events and have competed at the school for a full calendar year.

The 2023-24 Academic All-District Swimming & Diving Teams, selected by the College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in the pool and in the classroom. Academic All-District honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America honorees will be announced in April.
