Donnet, Rodrigues earn fifth ranked win of season
SOUTH BEND, Ind. – UofL men's tennis fell to the Notre Dame Fighting Irish 4-0 on Wednesday evening in South Bend.
Etienne Donnet and Natan Rodrigues, who are #11 in the ITA Doubles Rankings, picked up their fifth ranked win of the season by beating the #12 tandem from Notre Dame. However, the Fighting Irish came out victorious on Courts 2 & 3 to claim the doubles point.
The Cardinals battled in singles, taking multiple matches to three sets. The first UofL player to drop a point was Will Mayew on Court 4, giving the Fighting Irish a 2-0 lead.
After winning his first set 7-5, Matthew Fung dropped the next two to yield a third point to Notre Dame. The clinching point came on Court 1 where #68 Donnet fell to #34 Sebastian Dominko.
Louisville will finish the regular season at Boston College on Sunday at 10 a.m. ET.
