Louisville Travels to Tar Heel State for Ranked Matchups

Men’s tennis heads to #14 Duke and #24 UNC over weekend
LOUISVILLE, Ky. - UofL men's tennis will head to North Carolina for another weekend of ranked conference matchups. The Cards will take on #14 Duke University in Durham on Friday at 5 p.m. and #24 UNC in Chapel Hill on Sunday at noon.

In the newest ITA Team Rankings, Louisville fell to #38 after a difficult 1-2 weekend, where they collected a win against Tennessee State but losses against #3 Wake Forest and #23 NC State. Louisville now owns a record of 13-8 and 2-4 in ACC play.

Star doubles duo, Etienne Donnet and Natan Rodrigues stay at #9 in the ITA Rankings. Donnet is also still ranked #45 in singles and is joined by sophomore Will Mayew, who stays at #90.

Scouting the Blue Devils: Duke has currently won three out of their last five ranked matchups, with a big win over Florida State on March 17. The Blue Devils have two individuals ranked in singles, Garrett Johns at #30 and Pedro Rodenas at #52. Johns and Rodenas are also the #6 doubles pairing in the country, one of three ranked pairings for the Blue Devils.
