Louisville Begins Nine-Match Homestand

Cardinals host Ivy League duo in Cornell and #8 Harvard
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Louisville men's tennis program plays host to top Ivy League talent this weekend at the Bass-Rudd Tennis Center in Louisville. The Cardinals are prepared to take on Cornell on Friday evening at 5 p.m. before facing No. 8 Harvard at noon on Sunday.
Louisville (4-2) opened the first individual rankings of the spring in three different spots. Etienne Donnet moved to No. 34 in singles while Will Mayew is No. 61. Donnet has been paired in doubles with Natan Rodrigues consistently this spring, and the duo is ranked 50th in the ITA doubles rankings.
UofL most recently faced off against No. 16 Kentucky in Lexington on Friday. Louisville fell 6-1, leaving Rodrigues as the only Cardinal still undefeated this spring in singles.

Scouting the Big Red: Cornell has started the year a perfect 4-0 with victories over Niagara, Buffalo, St. John's and Le Moyne. All of those wins have come on the Big Red's home courts, with the Louisville match being its first on the road. Cornell has multiple ranked players including No. 33 Radu Papoe in singles and No. 42 Felipe Pinzon and Samuel Paquette in doubles.

Scouting the Crimson: Harvard holds a 5-1 record this season, taking a loss at Memphis before winning its next five matches. The Crimson have ranked victories over No. 21 NC State and No. 14 Michigan, landing them in the top-10 this week. Harvard is home to No. 12 in singles in the nation, Cooper Williams. He teams up with Daniel Milavsky as the No. 4 doubles duo in the nation.
