
Perroni Named to Preseason All-ACC Team

This is the second consecutive year that Perroni has been honored.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Nicole Perroni from the University of Louisville women's lacrosse team was named to the 2024 Preseason All-ACC team, the league announced Tuesday.
The midfielder joins 18 total players from five other ACC schools on the All-Conference team.
An at-large selection, Perroni returns for her fifth year with the Cardinals after a successful 2023 campaign. She was named to the All-ACC second team last season, the first All-ACC honors of her career. She ranked sixth in the ACC with 1.94 ground balls per game and was second in the conference and No. 30 nationally with 1.81 caused turnovers per game.
Playing 52 games in her career, the midfielder finished last season on a program-high 36 game goal-scoring streak, which broke the previous record of 34 games. She ranks sixth all-time in Louisville program history with 126 draw controls and 63 caused turnovers in her career.
Perroni was named to the IWLCA All-Region second team and the USA Lacrosse Magazine All-American honorable mention for the 2023 season. Perroni was named to the IWLCA All-Region second team for the second straight season and earned the first USA Lacrosse Magazine honor of her career. Perroni is the second player in Cardinal history to be named to the USA Lacrosse Magazine honorable mention.
Perroni earned five straight hat tricks and seven total during 2023. With her 37 goals in 16 games, Perroni notched 45 total points last season. These points put her on a 36-game point-scoring streak, which ranks third in Cardinals history. With 97 career goals, Perroni is three shy of becoming the 12th Card in program history to reach 100 goals.
