Men's Tennis Takes on Indiana and IUPUI

No. 29 ranked Cardinals host doubleheader on Saturday
LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The No. 29 ranked University of Louisville men's tennis team will host the No. 36 ranked Indiana and IUPUI for a doubleheader on Saturday, February 24, at the Bass-Rudd Tennis Center. The Cards day will begin at 11 a.m. when they face off against Indiana, and will conclude with a matchup against IUPUI beginning at 4:30 p.m.

The Cardinals hold a 14-9 record against the Hoosiers while winning five of the last six contests. Saturday will be the 24th meeting between the two schools, dating back to 1982.Â

UofL holds a perfect 11-0 record over the Jaguars while only dropping a staggering two points in its head-to-head matchups since 1982.

Louisville (7-3) is coming off a successful doubleheader on Saturday when they defeated both Belmont and Butler at home. The Cardinals beat Belmont 6-1 and then shutout Butler 7-0. This was all done while only dropping five sets on the day. UofL was led by several dominant performances, as they had four players earning multiple wins in Singles (Etienne Donnet, Andre' Steinbach, Piet Steveker, and Miguel Avendano).

In doubles, Etienne Donnet and Natan Rodrigues, as the No. 20 ranked doubles tandem, will look to continue to build off their upset of a top-five pair. In singles, No. 72 Will Mayew will look to continue his excellent start as he holds a team-best 7-1 record.
