LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The University of Louisville women's tennis team falls 3-4 to crosstown rival Bellarmine on Friday, February 16 at the Bass-Rudd Tennis Center.

Louisville began the match by taking the doubles point with wins on court two and three. The duo of Allie Gretkowski and Lika Peresypkina defeated the Knights' Erica Hagi and Nikola Kollaritsch 6-2 on court two. The Cardinals pair of Jamilah Snells and Lillian Mould on court one battled against Ekaterina Tikhonko and Vendula Kryslova before falling 6-7(0-7). Ibifuro Clement and Germany Davis clinched the doubles point for Louisvile with a 7-6 (7-2) win on court three over Marika Caruk and Yeva Kramarova.

Louisville earned the first singles point when Davis defeated Hagi 6-0, 6-3 on court four. UofL's Snells beat Tikhonko 6-4, 2-6, 6-1 on court one before Gretkowski fell 2-6, 6-2, 3-6 to Kramarova on court five to cut Louisville's lead to 3-1. Peresypkina battled against Kryslova in two tiebreaker sets, but lost 6-7 (0-7), 6-7 (2-7) before Mould fell 0-6, 7-6 (13-11), 4-6 in a three-set thriller to Caruk to tie the match at 3-3. Bellarmine's Nikola Kollaritsch defeated Louisville's Elena Noguero 3-6, 7-5, 6-7 (3-7) in a third-set tiebreaker to clinch the match for the Knights.
