
2025 Softball Schedule Released

Cards will play 23 games at Ulmer Stadium
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – University of Louisville softball coach Holly Aprile has released the Cardinals' 2025 schedule which includes 23 home games with one tournament at Ulmer Stadium as Louisville marks its 26th season of softball.
The 54-game slate will feature five teams ranked in the final 2024 ESPN.com USA Softball or USA Today/National Fastpitch Coaches Association top-25 along with 12 NCAA tournament teams including Women's College World Series participant Duke. View the complete schedule here.
Louisville's Atlantic Coast Conference schedule includes home series against Notre Dame, Virginia Tech, Duke and Florida State. The Cardinals will also face North Carolina, Boston College, Virginia and Pittsburgh on the road.
The 2025 campaign will start Feb. 7-9 when Louisville travels to Leesburg, Fla., to take on Middle Tennessee, Liberty, Rutgers, Radford and Cleveland State at THE Spring Games. Â

The following week will take the Cardinals back to the Sunshine State for the FAU Tournament which features games against Villanova, Minnesota (twice), Purdue and the host Owls. UofL will stay on the road for a midweek game at USF following by the USF Tournament when the Cards take on Kent State, Wisconsin, Michigan, USF and Wisconsin.
After three straight weekends on the road, UofL will kick off a 13-game home stand starting with a Feb. 26 contest against cross-town rival Bellarmine. The following weekend Louisville will welcome Central Michigan, Longwood and Northwestern to Ulmer Stadium for the Cardinal Classic which is slated to take place Feb. 28-March 1.
The Cards will stay at home for their ACC opening series as Notre Dame visits Ulmer Stadium March 7-9. Following a midweek game against Eastern Kentucky, Louisville will wrap up the home stand with a three-game conference series against Virginia Tech.
Louisville will then embark on a five-game road swing starting with midweek contest at Northern Kentucky followed by an ACC series at North Carolina and concluding with the first part of a home and home series with Western Kentucky.
The Cards will return to the friendly confines of Ulmer Stadium for an ACC matchup with Women's College World Series participant Duke before they play host to in-state rival Kentucky on April 2. A doubleheader against Oakland will wrap up the six-game home stand.
Louisville will hit the road for the next eight games including a midweek at Indiana and a pair of ACC series at Boston College and Virginia before returning to Ulmer Stadium to face Western Kentucky in the final non-conference contest of the season.
The Cards will honor the 2025 senior class in their final regular season home weekend when Florida State visits Ulmer Stadium April 25-27 and will wrap up the regular season at Pittsburgh.
The 2025 ACC Softball Championship taking place May 7-10 in Chestnut Hill, Mass. with Boston College serving as the host.
