
2024-25 Indoor Track & Field Schedule Released

The Cardinals will contest six meets at the Norton Healthcare Sports & Learning Center in Louisville, including the ACC Indoor Championships from March 1-3.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – University of Louisville director of track & field and cross country Joe Franklin has announced the indoor track & field schedule for the 2024-25 season.
The Cardinals will contest a total of six meets at the Norton Healthcare Sports & Learning Center in Louisville, including the ACC Indoor Championships from March 1-3.
Louisville will begin the season on Dec. 7 with a limited number of distance runners heading to Boston for the Sharon Colyear-Danville Season Opener.
The Cardinals will then field a full team for the Louisville Opener on Dec. 11, their first home meet of the year which will match Louisville up with a pair of SEC powers in Kentucky and Texas.
After the start of the new year, the Cards will return to action for two meets at the Norton SLC with Kentucky's Rod McCravy Invitational set to take place on Jan. 10-11 and the Bellarmine Open slated for Jan. 17-18.
The team will then head up the road to Indianapolis to take part in the Crossroads of America Invitational at the Indiana State Fairgrounds on Jan. 24-25.
The Cardinals will then return to Louisville to play host to the PNC Lenny Lyles Invitational on Jan. 31-Feb. 1 before taking part in the Eastern Indoors meet in Louisville the following week on Feb. 7-8.
Following the brief homestand, the Cards will then split between four meets to close out the regular season on Feb. 14-15.
A portion of the distance squad will compete at the David Hemery Valentine Invitational in Boston, while the rest of the distance athletes will join the multis group at Vanderbilt's Music City Challenge. The weekend will also see the sprinters head to Chicago for the Windy City Invitational with the jumpers and pole vaulters competing at the Don Kirby Invitational in Albuquerque.
Following the conclusion of the regular season, the Cardinals will then host the ACC Indoor Championships on Mar. 1-3, marking the second time in three years that Louisville has hosted the indoor conference championship meet.
Athletes that hold marks that rank within the top 16 nationally in their individual events will then qualify for the NCAA Indoor Championships, which will close out the indoor slate on Mar. 14-15 in Virginia Beach, Va.
