Cards Continue Fall Play at EKU

The University of Louisville softball team will continue fall play this weekend when the Cardinals travel to Eastern Kentucky on Sunday, Oct. 6 at 1 p.m.

Time: 1 p.m. (10 innings)

Louisville is coming off a doubleheader sweep against Bellarmine, winning the first game 9-4 and the second game 12-1 at Ulmer Stadium on Sept. 20. The 2024-25 UofL squad will take the field with a roster that features 13 returners, including 2023 All-ACC selections Easton Lotus and Alyssa Zabala. Additionally, Louisville welcomes nine newcomers including seven freshmen and two transfers.

The Cards finished the 2024 season with a 27-25 overall record and an 8-16 mark against ACC opponents.

Scouting the Colonels:
Eastern Kentucky is coming off an impressive 2024 campaign in which the Colonels registered a 42-10 overall record and a 21-3 mark in ASUN. The Colonels are led by Head Coach Jane Worthington who is entering her thirty-second season with the team.

Up Next:
Following this weekend's action, the Cardinals will return home to face Indiana in a doubleheader on Oct. 11 starting at 4 p.m.
