Women's Cross Country Team Set for Pre-Nationals

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Louisville women's cross country team is set to compete this Saturday in the 2024 Pre-Nationals meet in Madison, Wis.
The meet will be hosted by the University of Wisconsin at the Thomas Zimmer Championship Cross Country Course, which will also play host for the 2024 NCAA Cross Country Championship on November 23rd.
With a runner-up finish at the Southern Showcase and a fourth-place finish at the Sean Earl Lakefront Invitational, the women have impressed this season, seeing them grab a spot in the A race, which will be at the 6K distance and begin at 11 am ET.
The Cardinals will be tested on Saturday as they toe the line against 19 ranked opponents this weekend, five of which come from the ACC. The top-five teams in the nation will also be competing in the A race, with the top ranked NAU squad leading the way.
UofL last competed two weeks ago at the Sean Earl Lakefront Invitational, where the women's team placed fourth overall behind Layla Roebke and Nancy Chepleting, both of which posted top-10 finishes in the 6K.
