Anna DeBeer Earns CSC Academic All-America Honors

LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- University of Louisville outside hitter Anna DeBeer was named to the 2023 Academic All-America® women's volleyball team as selected by the College Sports Communicators. The Division I team boasted a 3.88 cumulative GPA.
DeBeer, a Second Team All-American, was named East Region Player of the Year and first team All-East Region as well as NCAA All-Regional this year. The ACC Player of the Year and First Team All-ACC outside hitter led team in kills (392), points (438.5), and double doubles (12). She was twice named ACC Offensive Player of the Week. Memorable matches for her included a double-double with 19 kills, 13 digs, and 2 blocks vs. Creighton in Sweet 16 and she tallied career-highs of 29 kills and 30 points at No. 7 Pittsburgh and five aces at Wake Forest. She joined the 1,000 Career Kill Club this year. She was Final Four All-Tournament Team and All-Louisville Regional MVP in 2022. In 2021, she was All-Louisville Regional Team and All-ACC First Team and was ACC Freshman of the Year and All-ACC First Team in 2020.
