Men’s Track & Field Ranked No. 22 in USTFCCCA National Team Rankings

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Louisville men's track & field team is ranked 22nd in the first installment of the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association Indoor Track & Field National Rating Index, coming in with a point total of 38.69.
Thus far this season, the Cardinals have been led by five-time All-American Trey Allen, who currently holds the top mark nationally in the men's high jump, having cleared a final bar of 2.24m (7-4.25) at the KTCCCA College Opener in December.
The Cardinals also boast two of the top long jumpers in the country with Jeremiah Willis' mark of 7.82m (25-8) at the Rod McCravy Memorial Invite placing him within the top ten nationally and Jake Burkey's leap of 7.69m (25-2.75) at the same meet sitting 12th nationally.
Cade DeWitt and Ty McPhail rounded out the point scorers for the Louisville men, with the pair tied for 25th nationally in the men's pole vault after clearing a height of 5.23m (17-1.75) at the KTCCCA College Opener.
Both the men's and women's squads will return to action on Jan. 26-27 for the PNC Lenny Lyles Invitational. The meet, which is one of four U.S. meets to be included on this year's World Athletics Indoor Tour, will be staged at the Norton Healthcare Sports & Learning Center in Louisville.
