LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- University of Louisville libero Elena Scott was named the Atlantic Coast Conference Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week for the second time this year.

Scott registered 38 digs this weekend for Louisville, averaging 5.43 digs per set to reach her 1,000th career dig and total 1,022 career digs. In the Cardinals' 3-0 sweep of Syracuse in their first ACC matchup, the Louisville, Kentucky, native recorded 15 digs, three assists and an ace. Looking for a 2-0 weekend, Scott had 23 digs, four assists and two aces for a 3-1 win over Boston College. The junior libero recorded her 12th consecutive double digit dig match against the Eagles.
