Cards Hit the Road for Miami (Ohio)

The University of Louisville field hockey team will travel to Oxford, Ohio for a midweek non-conference matchup with Miami University (Ohio) Tuesday at 2 p.m.Â

• For the second straight week UofL stands at No. 4 in the Penn Monto/NFHCA coaches poll.
• Louisville enters Tuesday's contest with a 7-1 record following last Friday's 4-1 win over JMU.
• The Cards have scored 16 goals on the season with eight different players contributing to the total. Aimee Plumb and Emilia Kaczmarczyk are tied for the team lead with four goals apiece.

Head Coach Justine Sowry
Justine Sowry is in her 13th season at the helm. During her time at Louisville, she has guided the Cardinals to a 172-80 record, eight NCAA tournament appearances reaching the quarterfinals twice and advancing to the semifinals for the first time in program history in the 2020-21 season. She earned ACC Coach of the Year honors in 2021.
• Under Sowry's tutelage, Louisville has tallied three conference titles, including back-to-back ACC regular season crowns (2020, 2021) as well as a pair of runner-up finishes in the ACC Championships.

Scouting the RedHawks: Miami (Ohio) brings a 7-3 record into Tuesday's contest. The RedHawks are coming off of a 1-0 win at Wake Forest on Sunday. Prior to that, they defeated conference foe Appalachian State 4-1 on Friday.
• Miami's losses have come against Indiana, Maryland and Brown.
• Claudia Negrete Garcia leads the team with five goals and has tallied two assists for 12 points.
• Isabelle Perese carries a 1.21 goals against average and a .765 save percentage.

• Emilia Kaczmarczyk scored twice while Aimee Plumb and Chloe Plumb also tallied goals for the Cards.
• In the game, Louisville outshot JMU 10-5 with a 7-3 advantage in shots on goal and a 6-3 edge in penalty corners.
• It marked the Cardinals' highest offensive output of the season and the most goals scored since Oct. 16, 2022 when Louisville beat Ball State 4-0.Â
