Moss Picks Up First Career Win at the Bearcat Invitational

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – University of Louisville's Sebastian Moss carded a career low round of 65 to propel him to a win at the Bearcat Invitational on Tuesday at the Coldstream Country Club.
As a team, the Cardinals finished in second overall after shooting a 6-under-par 846 to secure a second-place finish. Louisville shot a 1-under-par 283 on Tuesday to move into second place after entering the day in third place.
Moss secured his first career win and the first by a UofL player since Max Kennedy took home a victory at the All-American last season. Moss, a junior, shot the lowest round by a Louisville player this season to win the tournament by four strokes over Cincinnati's Connor McNeely.
Moss shot a 67-69-65=201 to finish at 12-under-par for his best tournament since joining the Cards. He was 6-under-par on Tuesday after recording six birdies and playing bogey-free golf.
Easton Johnson posted his first top-20 finish since joining the Cardinals, shooting a 1-over-par 74-68-72=214 to end the tournament in 18th place. Max Kennedy finished at 2-over-par and in a tie for 22nd place after firing 71-69-75=215. Cooper Claycomb was tied for 65th and Andrew Tan was tied for 67th after shooting 9-over and 10-over, respectively.
The Cards return to action on Sept. 24-25 at the Rod Myers Invitational in Durham, N.C.
