Max Kennedy's 70 Paces the Cards at the Valero

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Senior Max Kennedy fired a second-round score of 70 to pace the University of Louisville men's golf team on Sunday at the Valero Texas Collegiate.
The Cardinals fired an 8-over-par 296 to drop into 11th place heading into Monday's final round of action.
Kennedy, who shot a 73 on Saturday, came back to fire a 2-under-par to move into a tie for 10th place at 1-under-par. The senior carded one birdie on the front nine and a par on the back to post his top round of the fall. He enters the final round just five shots off the lead.
After shooting 75 on Saturday, Easton Johnson battled back to card a 1-over 73 to move up to 35th with teammate Sebastian Moss, who shot a 2-over-par 75. Andrew Tan and Clay Pendergrass are tied for 60th at 9-over-par. Jackson Brimfield is in 71st after shooting 77 on Sunday.
The Cardinals are paired with UTSA and Georgia Southern off the 10th hole on Monday morning.
