Softball Fall Schedule Released

Two home doubleheaders highlight the Cardinals' fall slate
LOUISVILLE, KY- University of Louisville softball head coach Holly Aprile has announced the Cardinals' 2023 fall schedule. The Cards will be playing eight games, four of which are home at Ulmer Stadium. Admission is free for all home games.

The fall slate opens with a doubleheader on the road against Ohio State. The first pitch takes place at noon on Sept. 24 in Columbus, OH with the second game to follow.

The Cardinals will play host to Eastern Kentucky the following weekend to kick off the home slate. The first game of the doubleheader is set to begin at 1 p.m. on Oct. 1.

Louisville will then travel to Bloomington, Ind. to play rivals Indiana University in a doubleheader at 5:30 p.m. on Oct. 13.

Wrapping up the season, the Cards will host the Miami (Ohio) on Oct. 29 to face RedHawks in a doubleheader at 1 p.m.

About Louisville Softball
The University of Louisville softball team posted a 36-20 overall record and a 16-7 ACC mark in the 2023 season. UofL's 16 ACC wins were also tied for the most in since joining the league in 2015. The Cardinals return 11 letterwinners from last year's squad including all-ACC selections Daisy Hess, Easton Lotus and Alyssa Zabala. Louisville also welcomes 11 newcomers including six freshmen and five transfers to the 2024 roster.
