
Cards Will Travel to South Carolina for 2024 ITA Kickoff Weekend

After an impressive 2023 campaign, the University of Louisville men's tennis program is looking ahead to next year, securing part of its 2023-24 schedule with the recent Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Kickoff Weekend draft complete.
The No. 34-ranked Cards earned the No. 2 seed and will travel to Columbia, S.C. to face third-seeded No. 39 LSU in the first round. No. 68 Clemson and host eight-ranked South Carolina will square off in the other first round match. The winners will meet to determine which team advances to ITA National Indoor Championships. About the ITA Kick-Off Weekend
The field was decided via the ITA Men's Kickoff Weekend Draft which took place on June 15. Selection order was based on year-end finish, starting with the No. 16 ranked team and running until all of the spots were filled. The 15 host sites were predetermined based on 2023 year-end rankings.
Louisville Men's Tennis
The 34th-ranked Cardinals finished the 2023 season with a 17-12 overall record and earned their second straight at-large berth and 14th overall appearance in the NCAA tournament. After defeating Texas Tech in the first round, Louisville advanced to NCAA Regional Final for the first time since 2017.
• The 2023 campaign marked the third time in program history that the Cardinals earned NCAA tournament bids as a team as well as singles and doubles and the first since 2011.
