
Cards Enter Final Round Tied for Seventh at the Morgan Hill Regional

MORGAN HILL, Calif. –Sebastian Moss led the University of Louisville men's golf team into a tie for seventh place after two rounds of the Morgan Hill Regional on Tuesday at the Institute Golf Club.
Moss paced the Cards with a 1-over-par 73 during a tough day on the course as all 13 squads shot over par on the day. Moss is tied for sixth overall at 1-under-par for the two rounds just three shots off the lead heading into the final round.
Windy conditions and difficult pin placements plagued the Cards all day, shooting a 15-over-par round after carding a 1-under-par on Monday.
The Cards are 16 shots back of second-round leader Mississippi State, but only are six shots behind the No. 5 position, which is needed to advance to the next round. Florida State is second at +1, while Baylor is third at +3 and Pepperdine and BYU are at +6 and +8, respectively.
After Wednesday's final round, the top five teams will advance to the NCAA Championships at Grayhawk Golf Club next week.
NC State's Max Steinlechner shot 70 on Tuesday to tie for the lead with Florida State's Luke Clanton at 4-under-par.
Jiri Zuska dropped into a tie for 18thplace after shooting a 2-over-par 74, while Max Kennedy fired a 7-over-par 79 to fall into 48thplace.
C.M. Mixon is tied for 51stplace after his round of 77 and Mads Roddik shot 82 on Tuesday to sit in a tie for 62nd.
The Cards are paired with NC State and Arizona and will tee off on the front side for the time beginning at 11:25 a.m. ET.
