Sixth-Seeded Cards Ready for ACC Championship

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The sixth-seeded University of Louisville men's golf team begins postseason play on Friday when it competes at the ACC Men's Golf Championship held April 21-24 at the Country Club of North Carolina in Pinehurst, N.C.

The format includes three rounds of stroke play on Friday and Saturday followed by match play semifinals on Sunday and match play finals on Monday.

The semifinals and finals of the ACC Men's Golf Championship match play will be televised live on ACC Network Extra from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Ryan Burr (play-by-play) and Steve Scott (analyst)
will provide the call. A championship recap show will air May 1 at 9 p.m. on ACCN.
The Cardinals are coming off their most impressive performance under head coach Ryan Blagg, who secured his team's first tournament win two weeks ago at the Aggie Invitational. The Cardinals held an 11-shot lead after two rounds to secure the first win since 2019.

Max Kennedy earned his first collegiate win at the Aggie Invitational, outlasting teammate Jiri Zuska. Kennedy took home medalist honors at 7-under-par, while Zuska finished one-shot off the lead.

Friday will consist of two rounds of stroke play, with split tee times staggered between 7:30 a.m. and 9:18 a.m. before going into continuous play in the second round. Saturday will consist of the final round of stroke play beginning with split tees from 9 a.m. to 10:48 a.m.

Louisville tees off Friday at 7:30 a.m., pairing with No. 5 Wake Forest and No. 4 Virginia.

The latest Golfstat rankings show four ACC teams ranking in the Top 25, including top seed North Carolina (ranked second), FSU (6), Georgia Tech (12) and Virginia (16). The Cardinals enter the postseason ranked No. 27.
