Richardson and Verma record wins over the Irish
SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The University of Louisville women's tennis team fell 5-2 to No. 22 Notre Dame Friday evening at the Eck Tennis Pavilion.

The Cardinals dropped the doubles point when they lost at the No. 1 and No. 3 slot. However, UofL's Jamilah Snells and Cici Xin defeated Yashna Yellayi/Rylie Hanford 7-6.

At No. 4, Louisville's Tyra Richardson downed Akari Matsuno  6-2, 4-6, 1-0 (10-5). Louisville's other point came from the No. 3 spot when Rhea Verma outlasted Carrie Beckman 7-5, 7-6 (9-7).Â

This was the only match on the schedule this week for the Cardinals. They are back in action on April 6 at Miami and April 8 at Florida State as ACC action continues. Â
