Bio
2022-23: Gorchanyuk picked up four wins (4-7) in singles competition at No. 6. Gorchanyuk won two in a row against Eastern Kentucky 6-3, 6-1 and Austin Peay 6-4, 6-2. On March 3, she defeated the No. 6 singles player from No. 1-ranked North Carolina 6-3, 6-4. Against Xavier, she won a hard fought battle 7-6 (7-5), 6-0. Gorchanyuk competed in doubles with Maria Campos winning three matches. The duo helped the Cardinals win the first round of the ACC Tournament with a 6-1 win over Boston College at No. 3 doubles.
2021-22: Gorchanyuk recorded a 3-20 record in singles play, primarily at the No. 4 spot. She recorded a 6-0 singles victory against Marshall on Jan. 21. Gorchanyuk posted a 6-10 record with partner Rhea Verma at No. 2 doubles and went 1-2 with Tyra Richardson for a 7-12 doubles record.
Previous School: Gorchanyuk transfered from Alabama. In 2020-21, Gorchanyuk went 9-2 overall in doubles with partner Alba Cortina Pou at the No. 2 pair. She recorded a 6-0 record at No. 2 doubles to open the season. Gorchanyuk won six matches while playing No. 2 singles for Alabama and recorded a decisive 6-0 win at No. 2 doubles against Memphis. In 2019-20, Gorchanyuk went 12-3 in dual match doubles with partner Alba Cortina Pou, including 2-2 in SEC competition.
Prep: Gorchanyuk is a two-time Canadian National Champion in doubles and is a two-time 3rd place finisher at the Canadian National Championships in singles and doubles. She was a G5 ITF champion and two-time finalist, as well as a G3 ITF semifinalist in singles and doubles. Gorchanyuk won the singles title at the 2018 Veneto ITF Championship.
Personal: Daughter of Dmitriy Krivchun and Maryna Kriuchan. Her mom was a world and European champion as a professional volleyball player. Has three siblings. Major is communications. Born on February 27, 2001.
