Cards Fall to No. 30 Georgia Tech 7-0

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Louisville women's tennis team fell 7-0 to No. 30 Georgia Tech on Sunday afternoon at the Bass-Rudd Tennis Center.
The Cardinals lost the doubles point after falling in close matches at No. 1 and No. 2. Andrea Di Palma and Rhea Verma fell 7-5 at No. 1 doubles. At No. 2 doubles, Sasha Gorchanyuk and Maria Campos fell in a tiebreak set 7-6 (7-5).
The Yellow Jackets swept the singles. Campos was in a close first set at the No. 5 position, but fell 7-5, 6-2 to Rosie Garcia Gross. At No. 3, Verma went to a third set after winning the first set handily 6-0. Mahak Jain won the second set 6-4 and eventually won the third set 6-2.
The Cardinals hit the road for their first road trip in four weeks as they travel to North Carolina to take on North Carolina on Friday and Duke on Sunday.
