
Cardinals Earn Top NFHCA Academic Team Award

Louisville registered the top team GPA in the Division I Field Hockey in the 2022 fall semester
GENEVA, N.Y. - The University of Louisville field hockey team led all Division I schools while earning the 2022 National Field Hockey Coaches Association Division I National Academic Team Award as announced by the organization today.
The Cardinals posted a team GPA of 3.81 to lead all Division I field hockey teams in the fall semester. Harvard University and Stanford University came in second with a team-average 3.77.
The NFHCA National Academic Team Award recognizes programs that earned a team grade-point average of 3.5 or higher during the fall semester of the current academic year.

Louisville's team academic results mark the 24th consecutive semester with a collective GPA of 3.0 or above dating back to the 2011 spring term.Additionally, 11 UofL field hockey student-athletes were earned NFHCA Scholar of Distinction honors, while 17 were named to the2022 NFHCA National Academic Squad.
About Louisville Field Hockey
The UofL field hockey team registered a 12-8 overall record after earning its fourth-straight NCAA tournament bid. The Cardinals were ranked No. 12 in the final NFHCA Coaches Poll after spending the entire season in the top 15 and reaching as high as No. 4 in the 2022 campaign. Following the season, Julie Kouijzer and Aimee Plumb earned NFHCA All-America honors, marking the eighth straight year the Cardinals have placed at least two players on the All-America teams, a streak which dates back to the 2015 season.
