Zoe Yeast Takes First at the Alex Wilson Invitational

SOUTH BEND, Ind. – University of Louisville track and field athlete Zoe Yeast competed at Notre Dame's Alex Wilson Invitational on Saturday morning, winning the women's weight throw with a mark of 19.02m (62-5).
The redshirt sophomore missed nearly a month of competition due to injury, making her return last weekend at the Music City Challenge. Her season-best mark of 19.67m (64-6.5) that came at the Cardinal Classic on Jan. 13 currently leads the team and stands sixth in the ACC on the year.
Yeast and the rest of the Cardinals will return to action when Louisville plays host to the ACC Indoor Track & Field Championships for the first time in school history. The three-day event will take place from Feb. 23-25 at the Norton Healthcare Sports & Learning Center.
