Cards Sweep Final ACC Weekly Honors

Duchars named Offensive Player of the Week, Kouijzer tabbed Defensive Player of the Week
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The University of Louisville swept the final Atlantic Coast Conference weekly awards of the season as Mia Duchars was named Offensive Player of the Week and Julie Kouijzer was the Defensive Player of the Week the league announced on Oct. 31.

This marks the third weekly honor of the season for Duchars whose penalty corner goal in the third minute of double overtime lifted the No. 12-ranked Cardinals to a 2-1 win a.t No. 13 Boston College. The senior midfielder's first goal of the season helped the Cardinals secure the No. 3 seed in the ACC championship.
Kouijzer was instrumental in Louisville's 2-1 double overtime win over No. 13 Boston College. The fifth-year senior keyed the defense in the victory, limiting the Eagles to six shots, only one on goal. The team co-captain has helped the Cardinals to a league-best 0.95 goals against average and six shutouts on the year.

Louisville (13-5, 3-3) will return to action on Tuesday at 6 p.m. in the ACC Championship when the Cardinals take on sixth-seeded Boston in a rematch of Friday's season finale.
