Elle Glock named Setter of the Week; Elena Scott named Defensive Player of the Week
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – No. 3 Louisville Volleyball had two Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) honorees, the league announced on Monday. Redshirt sophomore setter Elle Glock picked up her fourth Setter of the Week honors this season while Elena Scott was named Defensive Player of the Week for the third time.
Scott helped Louisville to a pair of weekend sweeps, as she recorded her fifth career match with 20 or more digs in three sets against Florida State - averaging 7.33 digs per set. It marked the first 20-dig, three-set match of the season for the junior libero - who also tallied 13 digs against Miami on Sunday. Over the weekend, the Louisville, Kentucky, native averaged 5.83 digs per set while adding 10 assists and two aces.
Glock recorded 64 total assists over the weekend, resulting in 10.67 assists per set for Louisville's undefeated weekend. The Wahoo, Nebraska, native tallied a double-double with 34 assists and 10 digs to lead the Cards to hitting .280 overall with a .368 second set and .344 third set. Glock added another 30 assists against Miami along with eight digs to secure Louisville's 14th sweep of the season.
The Cardinals travel to No. 10 Georgia Tech on Friday evening and finish the weekend road swing at Clemson on Sunday.
