It is the first win over Duke in program history
LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The University of Louisville women's soccer team closed out the 2023 season with a 1-0 win over No. 25 Duke Thursday night at Dr. Mark & Cindy Lynn Stadium. Emma Hiscock scored in the 36th minute and the Cards did not look back as they defeated Duke for the first time in program history.

The game remained scoreless until the 36th minute when the Cardinals opened up the scoring. Autumn Weeks started the play in the defensive third and got the ball up to Hayley Howard who played a through ball up to Hiscock. The shot got past the keeper and found the back of the net to give the Cardinals a 1-0 lead.
In the second half, the Cardinals defense continued to play well and kept Duke from getting to dangerous areas.
