This is the Cardinals fifth and final tournament during the fall
LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The Louisville women's golf team is back on the road as they are set to close the fall season next week. The Cardinals are heading to West Point, Mississippi to take part in The Ally Tournament, hosted by Mississippi State. The Cardinals are one of 12 teams participating in the tournament which will be played at the Par-72, 6,316-yard Old Waverly Club.
The Cardinals are coming off an impressive fifth place finish at the Mercedes-Benz Intercollegiate last week in Knoxville. The Cardinals had four individuals finish inside the top-20 led by junior Carmen Griffiths. She was tied for 10th overall to lead the Cardinals after shooting 1-under-par for the tournament. She is away from the Cardinals this week and is competing in the World Amateur Team Championships held in Abu Dhabi.
Hana Ryskova is coming off another top-20 finish as she was tied for 14th overall at 1-over-par at the Mercedes-Benz. It was her second top-20 finish this fall after she finished third overall at the Boilermaker Invitational back in September.
Rylee Suttor was also 1-over-par in Knoxville and also finished tied for 14th overall last week. It was her best individual finish of the fall after her previous best was tied for 15th at the Boilermaker Classic.
Beatriz Barrios also had her best finish for the Cardinals this past weekend in Knoxville. She was the fourth Cardinal to finish in the top-20 as she was tied for 20th at 2-over-par. It was her best finish of the three tournaments this season and her lowest 54-hole tournament score in her debut season with the Cardinals.
Gabbi Bentancourt will be competing for the Cardinals for the third time this fall while Carly Haines will be making her season debut this week. Millie Cottrell will be competing as an individual after making her collegiate debut last week.
The first round of The Ally Tournament is set to begin at 10 a.m. ET on Monday and the first Cardinal in the opening group at 10. Fans can follow along with the live stats here or our social media channels for updates throughout the tournament.
