Cards will play four games during the spring season
LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Head coach Karen Ferguson-Dayes and her staff are excited to announce the spring schedule for the upcoming semester. The Cardinals will play four games this spring and will participate in the Spring Cup for the second-straight spring season.
"We are thrilled with the set of games we have been able to put together for this Spring," said Ferguson-Dayes. "We have an extremely talented group of players that are returning from last year's team and have been able to add three outstanding transfers that we expect to come in and impact the program right away in January. I think this schedule will challenge our team and help our group grow both collectively but perhaps more importantly individually."
The Cardinals open up the spring season with a match against Racing Louisville on February 26th and it will be held at Racing's facilities downtown.
"Our annual game against Racing Louisville to kick off the Spring will no doubt be an incredible opportunity for our players to play against some of the top pro's in the World," said Ferguson-Dayes. "Then we are delighted to be taking part in the Spring Cup for the second year in a row. This event allows us to play meaningful games with points and standings that create a championship-like feel in our Spring Season. We anticipate a great Spring and can't wait to get started with our group next week."
Louisville will join Bowling Green, Michigan State, Dayton, Ohio and Xavier for the Spring Cup. The Cardinals are in Pod 2 with Michigan State and Bowling Green. Louisville will travel to Bowling Green on April 8 and then face off with Michigan State at home on April 15. The final game of the spring season will be on April 22 and the opponent will be based on the previous Spring Cup results.
