Moore Selected as ACC Cross Country Men's Freshman of the Week

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – University of Louisville men's cross country freshman Jack Moore has been named Atlantic Coast Conference Men's Freshman Performer of the Week in the third weekly honor of the 2022 season.
Moore was the fourth Cardinal runner to cross the line for the second consecutive meet, finishing 33rd in the 8K at Indiana State's John McNichols Invitational in a time of 25:24.5, only 0.3 seconds behind Louisville's third-place finisher. Moore's time was one minute and 15 seconds faster than his time in his collegiate debut on Sept. 2.
The Goshen, Ind. native is the first Louisville cross country athlete to receive the honor since Ian Kibiwot was selected on Sept. 7, 2021.
Moore and the rest of the Cardinals will take to the course again on Oct. 1 for the Live in Lou Classic, which will be held at E.P. Tom Sawyer Park in Louisville, Ky.
