University of Louisville divers Che Stephens and Adam Sneden finished in 7th place in Men's 3M Synchronized Diving at the U.S. Open National Championships in Midland Texas on Thursday and then made the finals of the 1M springboard on Friday.Â
Stephens finished 12th with a score of 278.90 and Sneden was 9th, posting a score of 312.15 on the 1M board. On Thursday, Sneden and Stephens scored a 293.55 to make the podium.Â
"The Cards had a great Day 2 at U.S. Open Nationals following a seventh place finish in the Men's 3 meter synchro event Thursday evening. Adam and Che stepped up in a very competitive field to make finals on 1-meter. This is the first time either has made an individual final on the USA diving national stage; a great testament to the work they've put in this summer and a huge step forward for our program. Logan battled hard today finishing 29th on 1-meter amongst the top divers in the country. Tomorrow all three men will compete in the 3 meter springboard event," said diving coach Ryan Rougeux
