
2022 Cross Country Schedule Released

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – University of Louisville track and field/cross country head coach Dale Cowper has released the 2022 cross country schedule.
The men's and women's programs will share the same competition schedule with four regular season meets before the start of postseason competition.
Louisville opens the season on Sept. 2 at the Covered Bridge Open in Boone, North Carolina. Next up in the month of September, the Cardinals will travel to Terre Haute, Indiana for the John McNichols Invitational.
The annual Live in Lou Classic, hosted by the Greater Louisville Sport Commission kicks off the month of October. This year's meet is scheduled to take place on Oct. 1 at E.P. Tom Sawyer Park, which has served as a three-time host site of the NCAA Championships. The park was also the home of the 2021 NCAA Southeast Regional will return as the postseason regional host site in 2022.
The Cards out the regular season on Oct. 14 at the Bradley Pink Classic in Peoria, Ill. The meet will serve as the final tune-up before the ACC Championships, which will be held October 28 at the Virginia's Panorama Farms in Charlottesville, Va.
Louisville is set to host the 2022 NCAA Southeast Regional at E.P. Tom Sawyer Park. This will mark the second straight season the course has served as the regional host site following a move there in 2021 when the University of Kentucky was the host school. UofL last hosted the event in 2014 and previously in 2006, 2007, 2009, 2010 and 2011.
All qualifiers will compete at the NCAA Championships on Nov. 19 at the Oklahoma State University Cross Country Course in Stillwater, Okla.
